Where I Like to Place My Head

Being a travel enthusiast has allowed me to travel the world several times. Many times with someone amazing in hand who has been there a few times.

The world I live in has opened me up to visit places one can only dream of, stay in hotels once I only dream of, visit pristine quality spas, and clink champagne glasses with the unnameable’s.

The world I live in has opened me up to visit places one can only dream of, stay in hotels once I only dream of, visit pristine quality spas, and clink champagne glasses with the unnameable’s.

This post may have to be separated into a series; I’ll start with some of my favorite visits to North America.

Making a point to concentrate on hotels, restaurants, and spa experiences — and attempt to avoid getting distracted lushing about my romps...

As you may know, I love to gamble, a bad habit, of course, but consider me a degenerate at heart🤣

It would be beneath me not to include one of my favorite casino hotels on this list:

Inn of the Mountain Gods — located in Ruidoso, New Mexico

I’ve been multiple times, both in the winter and summer. The casino is small and quaint. Not particularly the most upscale casino I’ve ever been to— but the hotel would be a solid 4 1/2 stars, with the view and environment being five stars. The on-site steakhouse is delicious as well! The hotel overlooks an alpine lake (A lake only found over an altitude of 10,000 feet)

This hotel is inescapably romantic and perfect for a weekend getaway. Spacious suites allow for the kind of romping only you can imagine. The privacy is unparalleled.

Be aware- in the winter, the mountains of Ruidoso are quick to blizzard. We were booked there for a few days when we got snowed in soon as we arrived. Luckily as soon as it became apparent that we would not be able to leave the hotel-- we were just getting unpacked.

Condado Vanderbilt— San Juan, Puerto Rico

I’ve been to this hotel a few times. It’s massive, seaside, luxurious beach house vibes and views.

A four-star hotel with outstanding restaurants-- particularly the tacos and tequila location found right out. Unfortunately, I have not visited Puerto Rico since l 2020, and things have undoubtedly changed. Especially between the natural disasters Puerto Rico has experienced and all things to do with 2020.

I didn’t find the rooms any more luxurious than typical resort-style hotels, however clean and had excellent hotel staff that wasn’t overly nosy (which we all like)

I found myself lounging on the beach chairs of the balcony while letting my lover devour my pearl entirely privately, as no one seemed to be able to hear me over the Seabreeze and private areas.

Venetian - Las Vegas

One of my favorite hotels to stay at while in Las Vegas; not only are the rooms always clean; I love how spacious they are, with endless areas to lounge. The railing partitioning the bedroom from the seating area has always been a fan favorite of mine! Who wouldn’t love to be bent over a railing without having to go outside, on a balcony-- and risk discretion or safety? Exactly ;)

Complete with a very stocked mini bar, a lovely casino downstairs, and plenty of eating options (though I don’t find those the best)

I have date requests to Vegas multiple times a year, and something about the Venetian always brings my suitors and me back there.

The Salamander Resort - Middleburg, Virginia

These last two resorts I mention particularly stand out because of the beautiful sensual spa.

The Salamander’s rooms have a traditional glamour; the resort area makes you feel like you’re on a compound. Safe and excluded away from the world. I have not been in DC long enough to experience the Salamander resort in the wintertime, but I imagine its fields covered with snow would be just a spectacular view as it is in the warmer weather.

As someone who adores going to the spa, it often can make or break my feelings toward a hotel.

This spa was the best one I’ve ever been to in the US. Whether you decide to take me there or decide as best to take your one true love instead, this is the perfect spot for a couples massage or romantic getaway; if you want to impress the lady in your life, go here!! Don’t tell her I told you, though😉

Waldorf Astoria— Cabo San Lucas

This hotel is known as one of the most exclusive in the world. That information alone insights a special feeling when you visit. Between the romantic rooms, open showers and bathrooms, and beautiful balconies, each equipped with a pool, this is the perfect place to spend time with your partner or desired companion.

The spa is the best one I’ve ever been to in my life, from the quality of the staff to the views, to the ambiance. Each room is extremely private; the staff is highly attentive- with turn-down service every night, including guacamole and beers (tequila if you choose).

From the hot tub to the balcony, to the living room, and to the bedrooms, the level of intimacy this hotel elicits will have you reminiscing for years. Where the bed is centered in the room against no walls, the romance this place incites is unfathomable.

These are just some of my North American favorite hotels; I have quite a few to list off on the European and Asian sides. I’ll have to get back to you within those, as his post would get much too wordy.
